February 1 - 27, 2024

WELCOME! The Read-A-Thon promotes literacy at all levels with fun, motivating schoolwide events for reading and logging minutes in Pledgestar during the month of February. Last year, we had 90% schoolwide participation! This year's theme is "A Rising Tide Lifts All Boats."

Pledges are not mandatory but are encouraged and appreciated. If each participant secured $50 in pledges, we would surpass our target to raise $30,000 this year!

Proceeds from the Read-A-Thon fund our school's PTA activities such as classroom projects, community-building events, schoolwide enrichment programs, and facilities services including:

• Teacher Grants
• Online Learning Programs (IXL, Lexia)
• Media Center
• Health Screenings
• Outdoor Classroom
• Pre-Paid School Supplies

Pledgestar is the online system used to record minutes and pledges by student, class, and grade as well as schoolwide. Prizes will be awarded for reading and fundraising. Check out our FAQ page.

A Friendly Reminder: Please Ensure Minutes Logged Are Accurate

Our contest is governed by Minnetonka's Code of Conduct so it's important that parents or guardians log their students' minutes as accurately as possible to maintain the integrity of our event. Parents and guardians should create accounts in Pledgestar, log their students' minutes, and send out pledge requests. Students are not allowed to log their own minutes in Pledgestar.
